TAP-DC Social: Fiesta Asia Street Fair

Join TAP-DC for the Fiesta Asia Street Fair as we experience together all the amazing food, dance performances, martial arts demos, and cultural booths!
- We’ll meet at 12:30PM at the Archives Metro (for those we haven’t met before, you can identify us by our tee shirts)
- Then, we’ll head over to Pennsylvania Ave to walk around and enjoy the festivities
- Finally, we unwind at Asia Nine nearby and relax with their weekend happy hour specials
This is a great opportunity to meet new members and enjoy one of the best events of APIA Heritage Month! Please remember to bring cash for all the food stands and shops.
In addition, Taiwan will be having its own booth with some great cultural activities as well as arts & crafts. Volunteers are needed to help translate English and Mandarin/Taiwanese, so if you are available, please email Eileen at elin@ypg.fapa.org.

For this special event, we’ll be teaming up with the 20′s and 30′s Asian Going Out Group to raise donations for the TACL Internship Program. We have all of Modern to ourselves and it’s a fantastic way to get the summer started off by meeting plenty of new faces!
The Taiwanese American Citizens League (TACL) Political Internship Program is celebrating its 20th year of empowering young leaders and promoting the value of public service. For the duration of the 9-week program, TACL interns will work in the offices of elected officials in Washington, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, to gain a better understanding of the American political system through active, hands-on involvement. The Washington, DC program is proud to host four interns this summer. TACL is 100% volunteer-based and proceeds from this event will go towards the support of TACL interns.
